Always Gather and Compare Estimates for a Custom Kitchen Remodel

When it came time for us to start remodeling our older home, I think my husband and I were both dreading tackling the kitchen because it would definitely be the most expensive. New floors, appliances, and cupboards were going to take up a huge part of our rather limited budget. My father had already warned us that we should have several contractors look at the job and then compare estimates for a custom kitchen remodel that would fit within our financial limitations. That was such good advice because we found a real range of bids for our project. Now that everything is done, we love our new kitchen, and we especially love that we were able to stay within budget. Next comes the master bath.
