Maintaining a Pure Environment

Working with medical testing in a laboratory requires the scientist to maintain a very controlled environment.  To ensure that the test results are 100% accurate the purity of all the samples and chemicals used must be maintained.  The introduction of any foreign substance to the test material could completely skew the test results and destroy the work that they are trying to do.  It is therefore very important that any instruments that come into contact with the test materials in the laboratory are kept completely sterile.  This is why most of the chemical droppers, otherwise called pipettes, come with replaceable pipette tips.  It means the head of the dropper can be taken off and replaced any time it comes into contact with a different material, maintaining the purity of the testing environment.
