I needed a job, so I joined an furniture hire company.
I recently started working with this company that deals in event furniture hire. Part of that job involves exhibition furniture hire, and we also deal with bar hire. I’m finally getting the hang of the whole thing, and I think I have a chance to get a promotion to management.
After I started working here, I was surprised to discover that the event furniture hire business is really quite competitive. All the different exhibition furniture hire firms in our area are constantly fighting for customers. We have to keep an eye on our competitions prices and services so that they don’t get a leg up on us. We recently had to drop our prices on bar hire for that very reason, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we had to do it again.
I think this event furniture hire business might really be my calling. I could see myself owning a company like this someday. I’ve enjoyed the exhibition furniture hire jobs I’ve been involved with so far, and he may end up letting me handle bar hire in the future. The boss really trusts me, and I’ve done well so far. The pay is good, and the clients are plentiful. I never would have thought there was so much money to be made in this business, but it’s very lucrative and constantly growing.
