This Season’s Theatre is The Best Yet

With the lovely summer season now well and truly in the past and raining skys to look forward to, tons of London residents turn to fun things to brighten up their autumn days. A theatrical show that extremely has taken London by storm over the last couple of years is the fantastic Wicked. Based upon the renowned Wizard of Oz novel, Wicked flips the original tale on its head and tells the background of the 2 good and bad witches and how they met. Stomp is excellent and crammed full of energy. It 1st was born back in the eighties as a small show in Brighton and grew more and more year after year until it hit global success. Although this is a musical theatre show, there is unbelievably no singing or script, having said this you can quickly understand the feel of the Stomp characters through music.Having recently adapted to a stage version, the marvellous Shawshank Redemption has arrived in London. The show tells the story of Andy arriving at an American prison after being found guilty of killing his wife after she had an affair. As a well educated chap, he is poles apart from the general inmates and offers to help a prison guard with his finances. With this guard on his side Andy becomes the prison guards accountant. The theatre version has a very raw feeling and feels remarkably real to the captivated audience. The action scenes are fantastic, the stage set is truly realistic and the strength of acting is also fabulous.
