Some Rules to Follow
Even though it is now very easy for a person to learn to dj mix, there are still some rules that they should follow if they want to be good at it. First, it is important for them to listen carefully to the songs they want to mix so that they can figure out the beat. Second, they should know the songs well enough to be able to predict exactly when they will start, when the vocals will come in, and when there will be a break. Finally, they need to count the beats per minute (or use equipment that does it for them) to make sure the songs they are planning to mix have compatible speeds.
